International Traffic in Arms Regulations: ITAR
(back to top)
Kirk,
Huth & Lange, P.C has become versed and experienced in a new
and expanding area of law known as International Traffic
in Arms Regulations ("ITAR"). ITAR matters involve laws
surrounding the control of the permanent and temporary
export and temporary import of defense articles and
services. Generally governed by 22 U.S.C. 2778 of the
Arms Export Control Act ("AECA"), issues in this area of
law are generally related to
information and material pertaining to defense and
military related technologies.
The AECA, among these other requirements and
authorities, provides for the promulgation of
implementing regulations. This area of law can also
involve several governmental agencies, regulating
matters such as who has access to information, how
information is disseminated, etc.
These
matters have the potential to impact several other
practice areas, such as import/export, constitutional
law and associated criminal penalties. Our attorneys
are ready to assist you in this area of law and its many
related issues.

the nature of our Labor and Employment Law practice
often immerses us in complex relationships between
organizations and individuals. Our primary goal is to

on integrative problem solving, no effective law firm
can expect to be successful in these efforts without
being prepared, when necessary, to litigate on behalf of
its clients. To this end, our attorneys have extensive
courtroom experience.
